We are a group of residents and business owners who care about planning issues in our neighbourhood. Anyone who lives or works in the area is welcome to get involved.
In August 2015 we were designated as a Neighbourhood Forum by Southwark Council, giving us the powers to set planning policy for the area (a 'Neighbourhood Plan'). Our plan will be subject to a local referendum before it is adopted by the council.
The area includes Bermondsey Street, its surroundings (dubbed Bermondsey Village by Southwark Council) and the area south of Long Lane and north of Gt Dover St comprising mostly the Tabard Estates. The map below shows our precise boundaries (outlined in Blue).
The boundaries have been dictated by Southwark Council and although many of our members think the boundaries are not ideal, this is what we have at our disposal.
